the program is supposed compatible with Ipad, but the definition is very poor. Reading via safari is much better. a purchase right for the trash as far as I am concerned le programme est dit compatible avec Ipad, mais la lecture sur Ipad est très mauvaise, la définition très pauvre. Ive used this app on my 3G for about a year, and after upgrading to iphone4 I found Its incompatible. This is symptomatic of this app---as far as I can tell they have never updated it, despite a number of annoying interface flaws. Some of the annoyances include that you cant select the type of search (e.g. Books, journals, etc.) until *after* youve done one search. So you have to do a "pretend" search before you do your real search. Another problem is that it doesnt remember where you are in a long journal article---it treats it as one massive page, and you cant bookmark your position. Also, theres a scrolling bug that sends me to the top of a long article before Im done, and then I have to search to figure out where I was. Also, quoted sections in fixed fonts do not size properly and are difficult to read. Also, theres little content that formats nicely like the screenshot---at least Ive never seen it. There are other issues, but my point is that the app has never been updated and these issues never get fixed. It feels like abandon-ware. And why do they charge money for it? You still have to pay a subscription fee.

I used the free trial when I first downloaded the app - months ago (when it first came out). I was impressed, but didnt think the subscription would be worth the cost until I returned to school this fall. Now that I have, I find that the app crashes all of the time - on an iPhone 3G iOS 3 and iPhone 4 iOS 4. I cant actually access any content. There have been no updates since release of this app in the fall of 2009. What a shame.

For iPhone 4s, the tops and bottoms of each page are not visible while in the reader. Attempting to scroll only changes the page. This makes the app impossible to use.

On my IPad mini cant access any of the generic Questia project management functions and the page handling is erratic, with none of the on screen help you get with the Web version. Very frustrating, this could be a great way to use Questia!

Its great to have access to Questia on my iPad. It allows me to access my library, perform new searches and to highlight and bookmark what Im reading. One difficulty with the app is that I cant see illustrations, just a blank space where they would be.

. . . for the iPad version. This app is for the iPhone and requires the user to boost the magnification to fit the iPad screen, which results in a barely legible interface.

I became extremely suspicious with all these applications, that give nothing without one firstly "create ones account". Usually such have-ons feign to be free in the beginning of acquaintance. And this program charges one a $1 in advance. I was not curious to know how much they would like to charge me further. Are you?

I subscribed I the assumption I could read the essays on my iPad. That is not the case since two times out of three the page wont turn. Please fix it or lose my subscription

The write-up says it will work on the iPad; however, the app terminates abnormally when navigating a document. Also, even though a resource is listed, it is not always available. Save your time and money by NOT investing in this app or the service.

Crashes upon touching the screen.

When it works I love it but it ALWAYS ALWAYS crashes...

Unexpected close as soon as soon as you touch screen to turn first page...update: reported problem and got auto response ack promising contact but four days later, still nothing. UPDATE- still broken

Thought this was a useful app until no upgrades ... Whats the holdup on an os4 and ipad update? You are about to lose some loyal adoptees of your innovative idea due to negligence ...

Ive been a Questia subscriber for nearly 8 years and I love the service. However, the customer service for this app is beyond neglect. They just dont care. I complained about six weeks ago about the app crashing with OS4 on the iphone 3GS and I received a note equivalent to "our best people are working on it". No fixes as of today. If you read some of the other 1 star reviews youll see this has been a problem since OS4 was released. I recommend looking at other service providers like Books24x7. They have an iphone app and it works. Subject area is different but maybe Questia will get the message. As of today I will be cancelling my membership to Questia.

Before deciding to subscribe to Questia, be sure and do a google search on "questia scam" or "questia problems", it will be an eye-opener. This companys customer service is atrocious, once they have your money they will let screw you at every opportunity. Subscribers have been paying for the service during the five months this iPhone app hasnt worked, and Questia will not be compensating customers in any way for their negligence. As you can see from the google search on Questia scams, countless customers have run into similarly ethically questionable practices by this company. Another problem is that the servers are often down, you cant even access the database by other means. My advice is to stay away from this company entirely, theyre a ripoff operation.

I paid. I installed. I opened. App allows me to set up account. And crashes. I cant do anything. Zero usability. Very disappointed and unhappy 

Fix this! Fix it! :( Yes, its just a supplement to the web site, but Im getting very irritated about having to wait until I can set up my laptop every time I want to pull up research material. Often Id like to locate a source for reading later, but cant because this app crashes EVERY TIME I use it. Useless! Irritating! I used to suggest Questia to all my college colleagues, but have stopped.... I cant in good conscience suggest a service that is so buggy. :( Update: Still broken. The website still works fine on my Mac, but this has now been absolutely broken for months. Do not buy...
